Use cold or lukewarm water (max 30 °C / 86 °F)
Gently submerge the garment without twisting it
Rinse thoroughly until all detergent is removed
Gently press to remove excess water — never wring
Machine washing (if needed)
Use a mesh laundry bag for delicates
Select delicate or wool cycle
Maximum temperature 30 °C (86 °F)
Minimum or no spin
Separate dark colours from light ones
Detergent
Use detergents specifically formulated for delicates
Avoid harsh detergents or bleach
Skip fabric softeners: they reduce fibre elasticity
Prefer pH-neutral products
Drying
Always air dry, preferably in the shade
Lay flat on a clean surface
Avoid direct sunlight: it alters colours
Never use a tumble dryer
Don't hang with pegs: they leave marks
Ironing
Avoid ironing directly on lingerie
If necessary, use a damp cloth as a protective layer
Lowest temperature setting, no steam
Lace and embroidery should never be ironed
Storage
Store in divided drawers to prevent snagging
Keep in a dry, clean, well-ventilated space
Avoid damp environments where mould can develop
Don't overcrowd drawers: bras keep their shape better when uncompressed
Stubborn stains
For stubborn stains, soak the garment in cold water first, then apply a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water to the affected area. Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub, then rinse well. Repeat if needed. Always avoid harsh chemical products or bleach.
